Chris brings years of experience as a leader in the translational and clinical development of immunotherapies to the Rare Cancer Research Foundation. As Chief Medical Officer at Arcellx, he has championed the development of new treatments and therapies for several cancers and diseases. He has previously served as Chief Medical Officer of Precision BioSciences and Bavarian Nordic. Before joining Bavarian Nordic, he was the Head of the Clinical Trials Group in the Tumor Immunology and Biology Lab at the National Cancer Institute. Following his residency at the University of Illinois Chicago, Chris was an Oncology Clinical Fellow at the National Institutes of Health. He graduated from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in 2006 with his M.D.. In addition to serving on the Board of Directors at RCRF, he also serves on the Board of Directors and Medical Advisory Board at the Chordoma Foundation.
